Story Synopsis: Thirteen-year-old Michael, has always lived a normal life, that is, until he begins to see strange things. His father gives him a mysterious necklace and warns him to never take it off. Telling him of the gemstone’s origin, an ancient city called Amethyst; a nonexistent city—or so he thinks. Following the sudden death of his father, Michael questions everything. He receives an epiphany that leads him to believe, his father might be in the city of Amethyst. With belief sparking in his heart and a little help from his grandma, he drifts into a deep dream sleep and wakes up in the mystical land of Nineveh. There, Michael encounters strange creatures and otherworldly people. He learns of an evil queen, Beelzebub, who spites the Great King of Amethyst and all elect wearing his gemstone necklace. These elect, though born in earth are descendants of Amethyst and have a special ability to travel between worlds while sound asleep. Beelzebub believes it is the gemstone necklace that gives them their power. Author Bio: Rufus Morris Jr. is a film and music producer, author, and educator passionate about inspiring and empowering young minds. He is the creative force behind the highly anticipated fantasy novel Nineveh. Believing is Seeing the first volume in the captivating Nineveh Fantasy Book Series, designed for readers aged 10 and older.
A native of Syracuse, New York, and now based in Atlanta, Ga. Morris’s multifaceted career has been a testament to his unwavering commitment to making a positive impact. In his earlier years, he made waves in the music industry as "Skratch," releasing his first professional rap music record in 1989. As an accomplished recording artist, popular DJ and radio personality on Power 102.1FM, a radio station Morris co-owned and operated he became a neighborhood celebrity and entrepreneur, owning multiple businesses.
However, as he watched his community grapple with rising crime, violence, and youth mental health issues, he realized the profound impact of the culture he was contributing to. In 2001, driven by his faith and a desire to make a positive difference, he founded the School of the heARTS Film & Music Academy, a non-profit youth training organization, and Kingdom Entertainment Studios, a film and music production company dedicated to creating positive and inspiring content through films, music, books, and other multimedia platforms.
In his Nineveh Fantasy Book series, Rufus weaves a rich tapestry of lessons and messages, encompassing themes of friendship, teamwork, sacrifice, faith and overcoming fears. The Instructor / Director and aspiring young actors work together using scene study techniques to analyze each scene and work out what is needed to bring the script to life. Scene study is one of the most fundamental skills all aspiring actors need if they truly want to become working actors. Great actors work out what is driving the characters in a scene. It's not just what the characters are saying and doing, but why they are saying and doing them. Committed voice actors make a great living and enjoy this career path. Learn how you can use your unique personality to help breathe life into an animated character or audio book. Participants learn the art of character voice acting and recording studio, set etiquette while working alongside our production team to produce short stories and promo commercials for our upcoming Nineveh Fantasy Series Bedtime Story Streaming Podcast and Youtube Kids Show.
